The government is committed to delivering lightning-fast, reliable broadband to homes and businesses across the UK.

If you are in a rural area, the programmes below could help your home or business upgrade its broadband.

  • Project Gigabit has set out multi-million pound budgets to level up for communities from Northumberland to Cornwall. Find out if you’re in one of the first areas to benefit. If not, rest assured, we’ll be coming to you soon….
  • The Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme provides funding towards the cost of installing gigabit capable broadband to your home or business (when used as part of a group project).
  • Superfast Broadband is now available for over 97% of the UK. Speak to your internet service provider to see if you can upgrade to a superfast service. Check with your county council to see if superfast broadband is coming to your area.
  • The Broadband Universal Service Obligation means that if you can’t access a broadband service of more than 10Mbps download or 1Mbps upload, you may qualify for an upgraded connection.
